Birth Details:
Ruby was born in Western Australia on 27 December 1899.

Comment:
Ruby Clues was still alive and well in 1994 when L May received a short note from her regarding the presentation of her young brother's Victoria Cross to the Australian War Memorial. It was a very short note (bearing in mind that at that time she was a very old lady) in which she mentioned Arthur and some minor information about herself.

Her name is
Hinemoa' Ruby S Clues (nee Gurney) and her daughter's name is Valerie Perkins. She also said, in her letter, that she would like to hear from L May again. Unfortunately, circumstances intervened and further communication was not considered until some years later.

Comment 2:
According to Ref C, Ruby died on 26 December 1998, which was only one day before her 100th birthday.
